The WID8000 is designed to handle 6-inch and 8-inch wafer sizes or 8-inch and 12-inch wafer sizes. The system is equipped with an automatic changeover system capable of handling two sizes of wafers. WID8000 has two main functions, OCR reader and barcode printer. After the wafer ID is read by the OCR reader, the system converts the wafer ID into a barcode format, prints it on a self-adhesive label, and sticks it on the wafer tape. The main purpose of the WID8000 system design is to replace labor and reduce human errors that may occur during the process of sticking self-adhesive labels (Wafer ID) on the wafer frame. ​
